On April 1, Sherry Santana became Chaney Enterprises’ new community relations specialist.
Once the voice of Chaney Enterprises as the company’s corporate receptionist, Santana is now the company’s smiling face as she serves as its ambassador at a multitude of community events. In addition to providing administrative support for the Chaney Foundation, Santana also uses her forward-thinking to develop innovative ways to promote the company and its products. She also heads up the planning of Chaney’s community events, and her most recent accomplishment was the success of the company’s first-ever Environmental Open House on June 14.
“Sherry has been a non-stop ball of energy since she walked through the door,” said Steven Tripp, marketing manager for Chaney Enterprises. “Her genuine caring and excitement will help take Chaney Enterprises and the Chaney Foundation to the next level.”
Santana’s many years of community relations experience makes her ideal for this position. As the community relations assistant for the College of Southern Maryland, she produced communications for the institution and developed partnerships with businesses and organizations on behalf of the school. Prior to her tenure at CSM, Santana was director of family housing for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, where she organized resident relations and managed communications among her other responsibilities.
Santana developed communications for a CA study for the Public Works Department and was also detailed to the Public Affairs Office.
“I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity,” Santana said. “Chaney Enterprises is a great organization with great people and stories to share, and I am honored to represent it.”
