News - Chaney Enterprises Recognized with Prestigious 2015 National 'Excellence in Quality' Award
Chaney Enterprises was recently named a winner in the 2015 NRMCA Excellence in Quality Awards sponsored by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association.
Chaney Enterprises is one of only 10 concrete producers nationwide producing 250,000 to 1 million cubic yards of concrete annually to receive the prestigious award, and one of only two companies in the entire Washington, D.C./Baltimore/Virginia region to earn the recognition.
“Winning this award is an achievement we are extremely proud of and one that serves as a distinct competitive advantage,” said William F. Childs, IV President & CEO. “We have consciously and systematically implemented quality practices throughout our organization so it is especially significant to be singled out and recognized for our efforts on this national stage.”
Not only was Chaney Enterprises recognized with the annual Excellence in Quality award, it is one of only two producers in the U.S. named to the list of NRMCA “Certified Quality Producers and Plants.” The standards are among the most stringent of any certification program in the world and companies must provide confidence to design engineers that they have the proficiency and can operate at a high level of quality to take on the responsibility to respond to these specifications.
For the NRMCA 2015 Excellence in Quality Awards, applicants must follow strict NRMCA research engineering and standards criteria, and winning producers must prove they follow and exceed quality management principles over a broad range of activities from commitment to quality materials management, managing production facilities, product quality control and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Chaney Enterprises and the other winners were honored during the national awards luncheon at NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks held Sept. 21 in San Antonio.
