Workforce Organizations for Regional Collaboration (WORC) officially launched a new web based database search engine named Regional Opportunity Support Services (ROSS). Chaney Enterprises is the main sponsor for this initiative.
www.askROSS.org is a highly detailed web-based tool that provides comprehensive information on government, non-government, community and faith based social service providers in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area. The site will be a tremendous resource to service providers, businesses, media and the general public when looking for information on community services or service providers.
The benefits of the ROSS database are immeasurable for residents will be able to locate information regarding housing, health services, education and a key service, employment opportunities. The business community cannot thrive without employees; every industry needs work ready candidates. The key to obtaining work ready candidates is having work ready candidates available! This database is a portal of endless opportunities for organizations and residents to keep the supply of candidates available to the business community. The services that will be provided will be a great stepping stone for anyone that needs assistance in the community.
Hopefully other area companies and organizations will follow suit and help support this database. One of the reasons people do not get help is because they do not know what is available. The ROSS database will help provide the answers.
Organizations that would like to have their services available on the database or become a sponsor can directly access the website, www.askROSS.org or www.worconline.org or contact Jessica Pinkey, Chaney Enterprises' Community Relations Associate, at 301-932-5665.
