Third time is a charm for the volunteers who decorated a mixer from Rowe Concrete at the annual Bowling Green Holiday Parade December 8. This year, the mixer wowed the onlookers and parade participants alike. The day-long effort reaped the champion trophy for the best display by the judges—and affirmed by all. With the theme, “A Candy Christmas,” the team pooled their creativity and added little personal touches of their own. Leading the team was Melanie Clegg, who was joined by Bernie Lilly, Spotsylvania concrete mix plant manager; Sal Owens, concrete delivery professional, King George concrete mix plant; Jim Valentine, plant maintenance technician for Rowe Materials; Melissa Smith, customer service representative, Rowe Concrete Store; and Sherry Santana, community relations specialist for Chaney Enterprises. They were joined by friends of Rowe Materials Kim and Randall McKinney, Cassie Mayott, John Thompson, Lizzie Lilly, and Brannah and Angela Machadau.
