Jessica Goad, promotions coordinator for Chaney Enterprises has been nominated to participate in the 2009-10 National Ready Mix Association’s Developing Young Industry Leaders program this fall.
Goad joined the Chaney Enterprises team in December 2007 after receiving a bachelors degree in mass communication from Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC. A native Marylander, Goad interned at AARP, The Maryland Independent and at the Waldorf Office of Congressman Steny Hoyer.
“This is absolutely terrific for Jessica, Chaney Enterprises and the ready-mix concrete industry,” said William F. Childs IV, president of Chaney Enterprises. “From her first day with the company, Jessica has been demonstrating an exceptional level of commitment and dedication, and takes every opportunity she can to learn more about the concrete industry.”
Initiated by NRMCA in 2004, the program is designed to challenge middle managers and other professionals to come together and strategically address issues facing the concrete industry. Participation is limited to 24 members from across the nation. The participants will interface via conference calls and teleconferencing to form teams and select a specific industry issue. Over several months, the teams will continue e-contact and include face-to-face meetings. Each team will present their projects and recommendations during the March 2010 NRMCA convention in Austin, TX.
