News - Maryland Aggregates Association Selects Francis H. Chaney, II Chairman

Annapolis, Maryland— Maryland Aggregates Association recently selected Francis H. Chaney, II, President of Chaney Enterprises a leading producer of Sand, Gravel, Concrete, and Concrete Block headquarted in Waldorf, Maryland, to serve as Chairman of the Board of their association. Maryland Aggregates was formed in September of 1970 when a meeting of seventeen (17) aggregate producers took place in the Harry T. Campbell & Sons’ company boardroom in Towson, Maryland. Maryland Aggregates Association has evolved into the largest association representing aggregate producers in Maryland.

Maryland Aggregates Association is comprised of twenty-nine (29) Producer Members and eighteen (18) Associate Members. These forty-seven (47) members produce millions of tons of aggregates each year, as well as provide employment for thousands of people. Maryland Aggregates Association has worked diligently to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with state and local elected officials, public officials who are involved in the aggregates industry or use of its products, and allied industries. In addition, the association is instrumental in the development of and compliance with specification, performance, reclamation, zoning, and environmental standards.
