The American Concrete Institute honored Chaney Enterprises and Hyde Concrete with its “Excellence in Concrete” Award for the architectural and decorative category for the Two Rivers Steak and Fish House bar top. Projects selected by the ACI represent the best concept, originality and application of concrete in construction and renovation projects. The project can also reflect the advancement of knowledge and practices in the field of concrete. Various project categories are reviewed and adjudicated.
Chaney and Hyde received the Architectural/Decorative Award for the Decorative concrete bar installed at Two Rivers Steak and Fish House in Pasadena. The 86-foot long bar top is a continuous, cast-in-place, stained concrete structure that is 33 feet long by 10 feet wide. The top, which was installed in 2011, has no cracks or joints, maintaining its continuous design.
