News - New Specifications in Pervious Concrete Pavement

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) committee on Pervious Concrete recently revised its specifications to keep up with improved standards and methods within the industry. 522.1-13: Specification for Pervious Concrete Pavement is now available.

In the revised document you will find the latest specifications for the construction of Pervious Concrete pavement. The document covers materials, preparation, forming, placing, finishing, jointing, curing, quality control, provisions governing testing, evaluation and acceptance of Pervious Concrete pavement. The biggest change is the contractor certifications requirements are much more strict, excluding technician level contractors.

The revised document is available in hard copy or electronic format, $25 for ACI members and $40.50 for non-ACI members.
