News - Tim Stansbury Joins Chaney Enterprises Management Team

Tim Stansbury, former plant manager of the General Motors manufacturing and production facility in Baltimore, has joined the Chaney Enterprises management team this summer as the Chaney Lean engineering manager.

“Chaney Enterprises is fortunate to have Tim on board and he is certainly an outstanding addition to the Chaney team,” said William Childs, president of Chaney Enterprises.

As the Chaney Lean, or CLean engineer, Stansbury will have full access within Chaney Enterprises and its affiliated companies, C&D Concrete and Rowe Materials, to increase customer satisfaction, productivity and efficiency while concurrently implementing processes and methods to reduce costs and eliminate waste. In addition, he will be actively engaged in teaching Lean principles and applications throughout the companies.

Combining a focused workspace with a refreshed environment is one of the goals of getting “CLean” at Chaney. Through Stansbury’s facilitation, offices and production facilities have been engaged in the five steps of a productive office, and have already noticed improvements.

Stansbury received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University in Flint, MI. He spent the majority of his professional career with General Motors, serving GM at facilities world-wide, leading him to Baltimore.

“It is a pleasure for me to be associated with a company that not only has a commitment to its people, but also a commitment to make the necessary changes to be the best in our industry,” said Stansbury.

Established in 1962, Chaney Enterprises has grown to be one of the leading concrete manufacturers, aggregate suppliers and source of construction materials and supplies in the Mid-Atlantic. Still family owned and operated, Chaney Enterprises continues to focus on delivering superior quality products with exemplary service to contractors and homeowners. Chaney Enterprises is recognized as the leader in the ready mix concrete and sand and gravel industries in the state of Maryland. The company has won numerous national, state and local awards for community involvement, environmental stewardship, employee training and excellence in production and products.
