It may be no surprise to you that the number one use for ¾” gravel is as a construction aggregate. For uses both in commercial and residential, it is typical to find ¾” gravel in concrete ranging from 2500 to 5000 psi.
¾” gravel is also commonly used as a base for roads or spread out without surfacing material on top to act as the supporting road itself.
Landscaping is the third most common use for ¾” gravel typically as a backfill and a base for retaining walls. It also can be utilized as a decorative ground cover, used to build walkways, improve drainage systems around structures, septic tank drain fields, as a perfectly good coverage around trees and plants.
